India’s first national deeptech conference, “Deeptech India 2025,” was inaugurated at IIT Kanpur with Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath declaring that Uttar Pradesh will emerge as the country’s leader in this advanced technological sector.
The event showcased breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, quantum technology, space technology, and biosciences. Mr. Yogi Adityanath emphasized that an effective summit is crucial to make the national vision “India Deep Tech 2025” a success and assured that Uttar Pradesh will play a decisive role in shaping this future.
Deeptech Innovation Center Announced at IIT Kanpur
In a landmark announcement, the Chief Minister declared that IIT Kanpur will be developed as the central hub for deeptech innovation. He launched the Deeptech Policy 2035, the country’s first deeptech accelerator, and India’s first AI co-pilot during the conference.
These initiatives aim to empower India in global technology competition and extend the benefits of the deeptech ecosystem beyond metro cities. Mr. Yogi stated that tier-2 and tier-3 cities will also become part of this innovation network, enabling young entrepreneurs and startups to contribute at both national and international levels.
Strategic Land Allocation in Gautam Buddha Nagar
The Chief Minister informed that land has been allotted in Gautam Buddha Nagar for developing the deeptech ecosystem. This move will support high-tech industries and create a strong base for future investments.
Participation of National and Global Stakeholders
More than 200 venture capital firms and leading organizations, including DRDO, ISRO, MeitY, and the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), participated in the event. Experts expressed confidence that these collaborations will attract major investments and generate large-scale employment opportunities not only in Uttar Pradesh but across India.
IIT Kanpur as the Torchbearer of Technological Advancement
Mr. Yogi highlighted that IIT Kanpur is capable of addressing present-day challenges and boosting confidence among India’s youth. With the active support of national institutions such as DRDO and ISRO, Uttar Pradesh is set to provide new direction and leadership to the country’s deeptech sector.
