Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has reaffirmed the Madhya Pradesh government’s commitment to public welfare, good governance, and inclusive development. Speaking at a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday, Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s active participation in the Seva Pakhwada (Service Fortnight), launched under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on September 17th.

The initiative is being implemented with the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” and aligns closely with the objectives of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign). This campaign aims to foster self-reliance and strengthen the Vocal for Local movement by encouraging citizens to support indigenous products and services.
Tree Plantation and Public Engagement Drive Underway
As part of the campaign, multiple public engagement initiatives have been launched, including “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan”, “Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam”, and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. These include widespread tree plantation drives and the development of eco-friendly recreational spaces such as Namo Parks and Namo Upvans.
In line with the Prime Minister’s vision, these activities are being implemented at the grassroots level—ensuring systematic execution in every village and ward. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that effective governance is being achieved through structured coordination and public participation.
Focus on Youth Engagement and Local Economy Boost
To inspire the youth and foster a spirit of nationalism, essay writing, debate competitions, and painting contests are being organized in schools and colleges on the theme of a “Developed India”.
Furthermore, local handicrafts and indigenous products are being promoted through awareness campaigns and public incentives to shop local, boosting both self-reliance and the state’s rural economy.

The meeting saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Jagdish Devda, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development and Housing Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel, Public Works Minister Mr. Rakesh Singh, State BJP President and MLA Mr. Hemant Khandelwal, along with Mr. Shivprakash and Mr. Hitanand Sharma.
