Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navsys Marine Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, to strengthen MSME and startup participation in the shipbuilding sector.
Supporting Indigenous Maritime Manufacturing
Navsys Marine, nominated by the Indian Navy, specializes in watertight and gastight doors, EMI/EMC-compliant systems, and fire-class doors, along with hatches and scuttles for ships and submarines. The partnership will help meet the rising demand for such critical components across maritime platforms currently on order and those planned for future induction.

Driving Self-Reliance in Defence Production
The collaboration highlights GRSE’s commitment to supporting domestic manufacturing while nurturing startups and MSMEs in defence production. By integrating indigenous firms like Navsys Marine into its supply chain, GRSE aims to reduce import dependency and accelerate the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision in the naval ecosystem.
