New Delhi: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU), has received the prestigious SCOPE Eminence Award 2022–23 in the category of Women Empowerment. The award was presented by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Recognition for Inclusive Policies
The award was conferred on GSL CMD Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, acknowledging the shipyard’s progressive initiatives in fostering gender equality. Senior executives Priya Bhagat, DGM (HR), and Ashwila Shetgaonkar, SM (HR) also attended the ceremony, representing GSL’s women workforce.
President Murmu praised GSL for its inclusive policies that encourage women’s participation in leadership roles and create opportunities for professional advancement.
