Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the newly established NCC Leadership Academy at Navli, Anand district, on July 25, 2025. This academy is the third of its kind in Gujarat, joining existing centres in Ahmedabad and Rajpipla, and will operate under the Vallabh Vidyanagar Group Headquarters. Developed with strong support from the Gujarat government, the academy aims to nurture leadership qualities, discipline, and a sense of national responsibility among youth.
First Phase Completed at ₹5 Crore; Capacity to Train 200 Cadets, Expansion Planned
Built on a sprawling 15-acre campus, the first phase of the academy was constructed at a cost of ₹5 crore. It currently provides residential and modern training facilities for 200 cadets. The second phase will see an additional ₹25 crore investment to expand capacity to 600 cadets, making it the largest NCC Leadership Academy in Gujarat.

Republic Day Parade Cadets to Be Selected From This Academy
Colonel Manish Bhola, Commanding Officer of 4 Gujarat NCC Battalion, highlighted the academy’s strategic role: “Upon reaching full capacity, this academy will conduct various battalion-level camps across Gujarat and serve as the selection centre for cadets participating in the Republic Day Parade. Currently, Gujarat has 75,000 NCC cadets, and we aim to increase this to 85,000 in the near future.”
NCC’s Vital Role in Nation-Building and Youth Empowerment
The NCC has played a critical role in grooming India’s youth by fostering leadership, courage, patriotism, and a spirit of service toward the armed forces. Gujarat has organized over 135 military training camps and more than 45 social awareness camps, involving around 1.9 lakh students. From the state, 20 cadets have become commissioned officers, and 213 have joined as Agniveers.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has consistently praised the NCC, calling its cadets the “Amrit Generation” — a young generation destined to lead India to new heights and contribute to making the nation self-reliant and developed over the next 25 years.
