Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the 14th International Flower Show in Ahmedabad on the very first day of the New Year. The grand event, held along the Sabarmati Riverfront near Atal Bridge, will run until January 22, 2026, and features an astounding 30 lakh (3 million) flowers arranged in spectacular displays across the venue. This year’s flower show is organized under the theme “Bharat Ek Gatha” (India – A Saga), celebrating India’s cultural heritage, traditions, and unity.
Iconic Floral Tribute to Sardar Patel
One of the highlights of the show is a massive floral portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s Iron Man, which has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest flower portrait. Alongside, the show also features the largest flower mandala, making this edition of the flower show a record-breaking event. The tribute coincides with celebrations of Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, previously commemorated during the Bharat Parv at Kevadia, Gujarat.

Six Zones Highlighting India’s Heritage
The flower show is divided into six thematic zones, each showcasing a unique aspect of India’s rich culture. The zones reflect various sub-themes, including Indian festivals, traditional dances, mythology, and heritage. A special “Eternal India” zone presents India’s ancient cultural legacy, while a 30-meter diameter floral arrangement serves as the centerpiece of the exhibition.
Visitors can explore the zones using QR codes placed at different locations, which provide detailed information about the flowers, sculptures, and displays. Additionally, specially prepared audio guides are available to enhance the visitor experience.
Ticketing and Prime Slots
The flower show has a tiered ticket system. Weekday tickets (Monday to Friday) are priced at Rs 80 per person, while weekend tickets (Saturday and Sunday) cost Rs 100 per person. For those seeking a more exclusive experience and to avoid crowds, a prime slot ticket is available from 8–9 AM in the morning and 10–11 PM at night, priced at Rs 500 per person.

This edition of the Ahmedabad International Flower Show 2026 not only celebrates the country’s floral artistry but also pays tribute to India’s unity and cultural richness, aligning with the overarching theme of “Bharat Ek Gatha.” The floral displays, record-breaking installations, and creative zones aim to inspire visitors and showcase the country’s heritage, traditions, and artistic ingenuity in a visually stunning manner.
