Days after Mr. I K Patel (2006 batch) was relieved of his duties from the post of Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) after his superannuation, the government of Gujarat removed three other retired IAS officers – Mr. C R Kharsan, Mr. Ramesh Merja (2012 batch), and Mr. S A Patel (2013 batch) from the post of Deputy Municipal Commissioners.
The government appointed four new Deputy Municipal Commissioners, including IAS Officers Amrutesh Aurangabadkar (2012 batch), Riddhesh Raval (2019 batch), Jayesh Upadhyay (2019 batch), and GAS Officer B C Parmar.
