Gandhinagar: In a landmark recognition of grassroots efforts towards child welfare and inclusive development, Kanial Gram Panchayat in Daskroi Taluka has been awarded the title of Gujarat’s Best ‘Child-Friendly Gram Panchayat’ under the Panchayat Advancement Index. The recognition reflects the village’s outstanding performance across critical child-focused metrics including 100% vaccination, full school and girl child enrolment, and comprehensive Anganwadi coverage.
With malnutrition rates reduced to nearly zero, Kanial’s achievement is not just statistical—it is a testament to the village’s coordinated and sustained efforts to provide a healthy and nurturing environment for its youngest citizens.

A felicitation ceremony will take place in Gandhinagar on July 4, 2025, where the newly elected Sarpanch and Panchayat members will be honoured.
