New Delhi: Hindustan Power has secured a major renewable energy project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), marking a significant milestone in India’s clean-energy transition. The company has been awarded 150 MW of contracted solar capacity, which will include the installation of 300 MWp solar photovoltaic systems along with 300 MWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Large-Scale SECI–ISTS–XX Project to Boost Flexible Clean Power
The project was awarded under the SECI–ISTS–XX tender, designed to accelerate the deployment of large-scale solar-plus-storage infrastructure across multiple locations in India.
The allocation followed SECI’s tariff-based competitive bidding process and a successful e-Reverse Auction (e-RA) conducted via the ETS portal.
The initiative is part of SECI’s strategy to enhance India’s renewable energy grid with high-reliability, storage-linked solar projects that support peak demand management and grid stability.
