New Delhi: Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) have entered into a collaborative partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at reinforcing cooperation and leveraging the strengths of both institutions to support urban infrastructure development across India.
MoU Signed by Top Leadership
The MoU was signed by Mr. M. Nagaraj, Director (Corporate Planning), HUDCO, and Dr. Debolina Kundu, Director (AC), NIUA, in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Kulkarni, CMD, HUDCO. The partnership is designed to enhance institutional capacities in urban planning, infrastructure investment, research, and capacity-building initiatives.
Key Areas of Collaboration
Under this MoU, HUDCO and NIUA will collaborate on multiple fronts, including:
- Developing programmes on urban infrastructure and development, including HUDCO’s Urban Invest Window (UiWIN)
- Organising capacity-building programmes, seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Conducting research, monitoring, evaluation, and impact studies
- Exploring partnerships with multilateral funding agencies and other relevant stakeholders
The agreement provides a structured framework for joint initiatives aimed at knowledge exchange, sharing best practices, and strengthening institutional capabilities in the urban sector.
