Mr. B Vijay Datta, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, currently serving as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs & Power, Mr. Manohar Lal, at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated as Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on January 23, 2025, the competent authority approved the re-designation of Mr. Datta’s post to Director level. The re-designation is effective from the date he assumes charge of the new role and will continue until January 19, 2027, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr. Datta began his central deputation tenure on January 20, 2022. This re-designation reflects his valuable contributions and ongoing service to the Ministry.
