Mr. Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as the Executive Director of REC Limited, a leading public sector enterprise. His appointment became effective on January 14, 2025.
Mr. Sakhamuri brings a strong academic and professional background to his new role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science & engineering from the University of Madras and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business from Puducherry University. Prior to joining REC, he served as the Director of Sericulture in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he contributed to the development of the state’s sericulture initiatives.
