IAS Deepak Virmani Appointed as Deputy Secy., Ministry of Home Affairs

IAS officer Deepak Virmani, a 2011 batch officer from the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. This appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme, will be for a tenure of four years or until further orders, whichever occurs first.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had recommended him for central deputation. He has been directed to be relieved of his current responsibilities promptly to assume his new role in Delhi.
