New Delhi: The Central Government on Monday issued multiple notifications relating to appointments, deputations, and tenure extensions of senior officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Trade Service (ITradeS), according to orders released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Girisha P S Appointed Director (Finance), Central Silk Board
Senior IAS officer Girisha P S (IAS: 2012: Andhra Pradesh cadre) has been appointed as Director (Finance) at the Central Silk Board (CSB), Bengaluru, for a tenure of five years.
According to the DoPT order issued on January 5, the competent authority approved his appointment on a deputation basis under the Ministry of Textiles. His tenure will be effective for five years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The post of Director (Finance) in the Central Silk Board is classified as a Non-Central Staffing Scheme (Non-CSS) post.

The Central Silk Board, headquartered in Bengaluru, functions under the Ministry of Textiles and plays a crucial role in the development of India’s silk industry. Its responsibilities include research and development, extension services, quality improvement, and market support for silk production across the country.
Suganya K Appointed Deputy Secretary in NATGRID
Suganya K (ITradeS: 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of four years.
The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, following her recommendation for central deputation by the Department of Commerce.
As per the DoPT order issued on January 5, Suganya K will serve for four years from the date she assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Role of NATGRID
The National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) is a key intelligence and security organisation under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It integrates data from multiple databases to assist law enforcement and intelligence agencies in counter-terrorism, national security, and crime prevention.
Significance of the Appointments
These appointments and extensions reflect the Centre’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership across key sectors including textiles, national security, and export promotion, while ensuring continuity in strategic institutions through deputation extensions where required.
