2009 batch IAS officer Manasi Sahay Thakur of the Himachal Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for a five-year term, as announced in a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order issued on November 5, 2024. Her appointment, made under the central staffing scheme, is set for five years or until further notice, whichever comes first.
Currently, Ms. Thakur holds the position of Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation, in her home cadre.
