Twenty young IAS officers witnessed different development activities undertaken by the Kandhamal administration during their three-day visit to the district, which ended on Monday.
IAS officers of the 2022 batch, who are undergoing training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, visited Kandhamal, one of the aspirational districts, under the Bharat Darshan programme.
The officers spent the first two days visiting various projects in Daringbadi, K Nuagaon, Phiringia. Baliguda and Phulbani blocks. They spoke with the district officers before beginning their field trip.
Before their field visit, Kandhamal collector Ashish Ishwar Patil and other officers explained to them the different welfare schemes implemented by the administration as well as their own initiatives. It was their first visit to an aspirational district before joining their new jobs. During their visit to Daringbadi, a hill station, they visited a strawberry field and spoke with members of women self-help groups who are involved in the cultivation.
