30 Odisha Administrative Services Officers Promoted to IAS, Check Names Here

According to an official notification, the President’s approval comes under the provisions of the Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, and the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955.

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, President Droupadi Murmu has approved the promotion of 30 Odisha Administrative Services (OAS) officers to the rank of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), filling the available vacancies for the years 2023 and 2024.

According to an official notification, the President’s approval comes under the provisions of the Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, and the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955. The promotion will see 15 OAS officers promoted to IAS rank for vacancies arising between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, while another 15 OAS officers have been promoted for vacancies arising between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

The officers, who have now been appointed to the IAS, will be allocated to the Odisha Cadre and placed on probation until further orders. The notification, issued by Sanjay Kumar Chaurasia, Under Secretary to the Government of India, highlights the appointments made in consultation with the State Government.
