The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has recently approved significant appointments within the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has mandated IAS Akash Tripathi to take up additional responsibilities as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Digital India Corporation (DIC). Officer Tripathi, a 1998-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, was last posted as the CEO of MyGov.
The appointment of IAS Tripathi is effective from April 1st, 2024, and is for a period of six months or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier. In addition to this, Tripathi has also been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer (P&CEO) of the National eGovernance Division (NeGD).
