The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has recently mandated a reshuffle by appointing eight seasoned bureaucrats (including 7 IAS officers) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary in the Government of India.
The Officers are:
- Mr. Anil Kumar Singhal (1993-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS officer), has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, replacing IAS Vipin Kumar (1996-batch).
- Mr. Vipin Kumar (1996-batch Bihar cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as the Chairman of the Airports Authority of India under the Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank & pay of Additional Secretary. Presently, Officer Kumar is an Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy.
- Mr. Sushil Kumar Lohani (1995-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
- Mr. Nitesh Kumar Vyas (1996-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary. Presently, Officer Vyas is posted as the Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India.
- Mr. Rupinder Singh (1996-batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as an Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh (1997-batch Chhattisgarh cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as an Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel.
- Mr. P Krishnamurthy (1997-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as the Chairperson of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority under the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the rank & pay of Additional Secretary.
- Mr. Sanjiv Narain Mathur (1992-batch IRAS officer) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Officer Mathur replaces IAS Sanjiv Kumar (1992 batch), who was repatriated to his parent cadre upon completion of his central deputation tenure on 8th November, 2024.
