Senior IAS officer (IAS 1996) Raj Kamal Chaudhari has been appointed as the 15th Vice Chancellor of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University. Mr Chaudhari has recently been transferred as The Principal Secretary, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training Punjab. He is appointed on temporary basis till further order of permanent appointment is not given.
On his arrival, a warm welcome was given to him by University Registrar and Staff. On day one, he thoroughly reviewed the functions of all the departments and directed all the department Heads to resolve matters related to students on priority basis. He also listed some important works to be completed immediately. He appreciated the work of sincere staff members and at the same time warned those who are working with negligence, carelessness or without taking responsibility in work.
