Amidst a recent development, the government of Meghalaya instructed the transfer of two IAS officers across the state.
The incumbent Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills District, Ampati, Mr. R P Marak (2011 batch IAS), was instructed to assume office as the secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Mining and Geology Department.
Ms. Hema Nayak (2020 batch IAS), presently posted as the Deputy Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya (Police) department, replaced Officer Marak as the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills District.
