Amidst a recent development, the Government of Punjab mandated Mr. Karnail Singh (2005-batch IAS officer) to assume office as the new Additional Secretary in the Department of Employment Generation and Training. Officer Singh, who is set to retire on September 30th, 2024, had applied for VRS a few weeks earlier. Till January 2024, he served as the District Collector in Kapurthala.
