Jaipur: In one of the biggest bureaucratic reshuffles in recent months, the Rajasthan government transferred 65 IAS officers late Tuesday night, including a large-scale reshuffle of district administration and key changes in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
The exercise includes the transfer of Collectors in 25 districts, major changes in the Chief Minister’s secretariat, and the reassignment of several prominent officers, including IAS sisters Tina Dabi and Ria Dabi.
Big Changes in Chief Minister’s Office
A major restructuring has taken place in the Chief Minister’s Office with new appointments at senior levels.
- Jitendra Soni, who was serving as Jaipur Collector, has been appointed Secretary to the Chief Minister. He has also been given responsibility as Secretary of the Department of Information and Public Relations.
- Sandesh Nayak, earlier Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has now been posted as Jaipur Collector.
- Arvind Kumar Poswal, another Special Secretary in the CMO, has been transferred as Commissioner of the Housing Board.
Mukul Sharma Shifted to CMO After Minister Clash
Mukul Sharma, the Sikar Collector who came into public attention after a confrontation with Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma, has been moved to the Chief Minister’s Office as Special Secretary.
The dispute had occurred during a Seva Shivir in Sikar last December over staff attendance and administrative functioning. A video of the heated exchange had circulated widely and triggered political reactions.
Tina Dabi and Ria Dabi Transferred
- Tina Dabi has been transferred from Barmer and posted as Collector of Tonk.
- Her sister Ria Dabi, earlier serving as CEO of Udaipur Zila Parishad, has been appointed Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister.
New OSDs and Joint Secretaries in CMO
Several young officers have also entered the CMO –
- Utsav Kaushal appointed Joint Secretary to Chief Minister
- Amita Sharma shifted as OSD to Chief Minister
- Rajat Yadav appointed OSD
- Akshat Kumar Singh appointed OSD
Key Senior-Level Postings
Other important changes include –
- K. L. Swami appointed Divisional Commissioner, Jodhpur
- Nakate Shivprasad Madan shifted as MD, Renewable Energy Corporation
- Namit Mehta appointed Excise Commissioner

Government Signals Administrative Recalibration
The wide-ranging reshuffle is being viewed as an attempt by the Rajasthan government to tighten administrative control, refresh field leadership and strengthen coordination between district administration and the Chief Minister’s Office.
With 65 IAS officers affected in a single order, the move is among the most significant bureaucratic exercises of the year in the state.
