New Delhi: In a key bureaucratic reshuffle, the tenure of Richa Pandey (ICAS:2011) as Director in the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA) has been curtailed ahead of schedule. The decision, cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), was notified through an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday.
Pandey, who joined NPPA in May 2022 as a Deputy Secretary under the Central Staffing Scheme, was later promoted to Director. Her extended term was initially set to run through 2026, but the Department of Pharmaceuticals moved a proposal to end her deputation early – a move now approved by the ACC.
Kalpashree K R Appointed Joint Secretary in Andhra Pradesh
In another significant development, Kalpashree K R (IAS:2022:AP), who was previously awaiting posting, has now been appointed as Joint Secretary (Vigilance) in the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Andhra Pradesh.
Kalpashree was among the 158 IAS officers formally confirmed by the President of India in June 2025, transitioning from probation to full-fledged cadre positions. The confirmed batches include officers from 2020, 2021, and 2022, with Kalpashree being one of the notable appointees now assuming an active administrative role in Andhra Pradesh.
