Lucknow: In a significant reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath government has transferred two IAS and eight PCS officers across Uttar Pradesh. According to the official notification issued on Thursday, 1995 batch IAS officer Ramesh Kumar, serving as Special Secretary in the Minority Welfare Department, has been shifted to the Science and Technology Department.
Meanwhile, 2014 batch IAS officer Sheeldhar Singh Yadav, previously posted as Special Secretary in the Science and Technology Department, has now been assigned as Special Secretary in the Minority Welfare Department.
PCS Officers Receive New Key Assignments
Among the PCS cadre, several officials have been transferred to important administrative roles.
Hari Pratap Singh, SDM of Etawah, has been posted to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority as Deputy District Magistrate.
Arvind Kumar Mishra, who was on the waiting list, has been appointed as SDM Noida.
Vishal Saraswat, a newly appointed PCS officer, has been posted as trainee SDM in Ambedkar Nagar.
Revenue Council-Linked PCS Officers Also Transferred
The reshuffle also includes PCS officers associated with the Revenue Council. Their new postings include –
Swati Shukla, previously Deputy Director (Child Development and Nutrition), will continue in the same capacity under the new assignment.
Prateek Tripathi has been transferred and assigned the responsibility of SDM Rampur.
Santosh Kumar Ojha has been appointed SDM Mirzapur.
Vivek Rajput has been given charge as SDM Rae Bareli.
Priyanka, earlier SDM Badaun, has now been posted as Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Reshuffle Aims to Strengthen Administrative Efficiency
The series of transfers is seen as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative functioning and ensure efficient governance across departments and districts. The new postings are expected to bring renewed momentum to development and administrative processes.
