IAS officer Ravi Shanakar has been appointed as Director in the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a period of five years. The competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Shanakar to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years . He is an IAS officer of 2007 batch and Gujarat cadre.
Earlier, he served as Chief Administrator, Statue of Unity, SOUADTGA, Kevadia, Narmada-Rajpipla, Director (Administration), Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd., Vadodara and Joint Managing Director, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd., Gandhinagar.
