Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched the ‘Swarna Gramam’ (Golden Village) program, directing IAS officers to stay in villages for three days and two nights to better connect with the people. In a recent cabinet meeting, he stressed that although the government has introduced many welfare schemes, its efforts aren’t reaching the public effectively. He urged ministers to spread awareness about these schemes and study central government programs to bring more funds to the state.
Naidu also raised concerns about buildings built by the previous government at Rushikonda, asking ministers to visit them before making any decisions. He criticized the misuse of the APCOS system under the former administration, pointing out irregular outsourcing appointments, especially in TTD, which employs 4,000 outsourced workers. He proposed forming a cabinet sub-committee to regulate this. On the Pastor Praveen death case, he asked ministers to be alert, saying that CCTV footage is crucial in uncovering the truth.
