In recent appointments made by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), two IAS officers have been given significant roles under the central staffing scheme.
- Rohan Chand Thakur (IAS: 2009: HP) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Financial Services in Delhi. Thakur will serve in this capacity for a period of five years, starting from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Amar Kushawha (IAS: 2012: TN) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers in Delhi. He will hold this position for a period of four years, also from the date of assuming charge or until further orders.
