Mr. Sanjay Kumar (IAS), the incumbent Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary for the Department of Higher Education until a permanent appointment is made. Mr. Kumar is an IAS officer from the 1990 batch of the Bihar cadre.
Officer Kumar’s extensive career includes significant contributions to the education sector, having previously served as the Secretary of Youth Affairs and as the principal secretary for education in Bihar.
