IAS Saurabh Bhagat DG IMPARD represented Jammu and Kashmir at the National meet for strengthening of administrative training academies of India organised by DARPG and Govt of UP. The meet was inaugurated by CM of UP Yogi Adityanath and HMOS Dopt and DAPRG Jitendra Singh.
He made a presentation on new mid-career training for IAS and induction training for fresh IAS recruits on the pattern of IAS and other central services. The district good governance index being developed by the UT was also appreciated in the conference as a case study.
The two day event had speakers from all prominent CTIs like NITi aayog, IIPA, capacity building commission, NIC, NCGG, NISG, LBSNAA and all state ATIs and senior officers from GOI and UP government. It was decided to promote Jammu & Kashmir IMPARD as centre of excellence in good governance, rural development, urban management and smart cities, election management, revenue administration, e-governance, certification of case studies of best practices, RTI and disaster management. In this regard hand holding support, faculty exchange, development of new modules, infrastructure support and knowledge support shall be forthcoming from DARPG .
