The New Delhi authorities temporarily assigned Vijay Kumar Singh the additional role of Vice Chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for a term of six months or until a permanent appointment is made. Mr. Singh, an officer from the 1995 Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) batch, has been serving as Member (Finance) at DDA since June 2020. He is an alumnus of Sainik School Tilaiya, Kirori Mal College at Delhi University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
The position of VC at DDA became vacant following the lateral transfer of Subhasish Panda, a 1997 batch IAS officer from Himachal Pradesh, who was appointed as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office on October 18, 2024.
