New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has granted ex-post facto approval for the continuation of Priya Ranjan, a 1998-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of Rajasthan cadre, as the Managing Director of the National Horticulture Board (NHB).
The extension allows Ranjan to continue holding the additional charge of MD, NHB for a period of six months starting from March 23, 2025, or until a regular appointment is made – or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Currently Serving as Joint Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
Alongside his role at NHB, Priya Ranjan also serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, where he plays a key role in policy formulation and execution of initiatives supporting farmers and sustainable agriculture.
The dual role reflects his extensive experience and trusted leadership in the agriculture and allied sectors. His extended tenure is expected to help ensure continuity in key horticulture development programs under the NHB.
