The Forest and Climate Change Department has assigned new responsibilities to five officers of the Indian Forest Service, strengthening administrative and wildlife management roles across key regions in the state.

Key Appointments and Role Changes
According to the order, several senior officers have been given additional and reshuffled responsibilities across wildlife, research, and forest administration divisions.
- Abhishek Kumar Singh has been appointed as the In-Charge Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife). He will also serve as Field Director of the Achanakmar Tiger Reserve and has been given the additional role of Regional Managing Director in the State Forest Development Corporation Limited.
- Priyanka Pandey has been assigned the role of In-Charge Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) along with Field Director of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve.
- Vivekanand Jha will continue with his existing responsibilities while also taking on additional charge as Conservator of Forests for the FMIS Circle.
- Satvishya Samajdar has been appointed as In-charge Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Research), Raipur.
- Gurunathan N has been given charge as In-charge Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Raipur, along with additional responsibility for the Udanti-Sitanadi Tiger Reserve.
Strengthening Wildlife and Forest Governance
The reshuffle is aimed at improving administrative efficiency and strengthening wildlife conservation efforts across Chhattisgarh, particularly in key tiger reserves and research divisions.
Officials said the move will help streamline decision-making and ensure better coordination in forest governance and biodiversity conservation.
