S Senthil Kumar, a 1997-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been given the additional charge of Deputy Director General of Forests (Central) [DDGF(C)] in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Kumar is currently serving in the same capacity in Bangalore, and will now oversee responsibilities in both cities.

Brindha Boopathy Appointed Deputy Secretary, DGTR
In a parallel development, Mr Brindha Boopathy, a 2015-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) under the Department of Commerce, Government of India.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved her appointment for a four-year term, according to an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) dated June 20, 2025.
To accommodate the posting, one vacant post of Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (ADGFT) in DGFT has been downgraded as a one-time measure.
Boopathy’s new role comes at a critical time as DGTR plays a central part in India’s trade protection framework, including the implementation of anti-dumping duties, safeguard measures, and countervailing duties to protect domestic industries.
