Indian Oil Shines at SCOPE Awards 2025, Bags Multiple Accolades for Leadership Excellence and Women Empowerment

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) was honored with multiple prestigious awards at the 2025 Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) Awards, recognizing its exceptional leadership, governance, and contributions to women empowerment in the public sector. These accolades were presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a special ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan.

Leadership Excellence Award for Arvind Kumar

IndianOil’s Director (Refineries), Arvind Kumar, was awarded the “Individual Leadership Excellence (Miniratna I & II PSEs)” category for his exemplary leadership role during his tenure as Managing Director (MD) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) in 2022-23. The award recognized Kumar’s significant contribution to CPCL’s operational achievements, which played a pivotal role in enhancing IndianOil’s overall performance in the energy sector.

On receiving the award, Arvind Kumar expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am humbled to receive the SCOPE Eminence Award in the category of Individual Leadership Excellence. It’s a true honor to be recognized for my work at CPCL. This award reflects the collective efforts of the team, and I dedicate it to their commitment to excellence.”

Recognition of Women Leadership at IndianOil

IndianOil’s commitment to gender diversity and empowering women in leadership roles was also highlighted with two Outstanding Women Leadership Awards. The awards were presented to Ms. Geetika Verma, Chief General Manager (CGM) and Senior Head (KeSO), and Ms. Mamoni Basumatary, General Manager (GM) in the Technical Division (RHQ).

Geetika Verma was honored with the Outstanding Women Leadership Award for her significant contributions towards advancing the company’s strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiencies.

Mamoni Basumatary received the Outstanding Women Leadership Commendation for her outstanding work in leadership and technical innovation at IndianOil.

Verma and Basumatary’s recognitions underline IndianOil’s progressive approach in fostering leadership among women, contributing significantly to the company’s success.
