In a move to alleviate the workload on Gujarat Police, the state’s Home Department has introduced eight new Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) positions.
Eight IPS officers from the 2021-22 Gujarat cadre have been appointed to these newly created posts. These officers, representing the 2021 and 2022 batches, have been assigned to various locations across the state.
The new ASP positions have been established in Dhandhuka, Dhoraj Lalpur, Visavadar, Danta, Dehegam, Dhari, and Zaghadiya.
They are:
- Officer Yogeshwar Jogi, ASP of Dhandhuka, Ahmedabad;
- Ms. Suman Nala, ASP of Danta, Banaskantha;
- Ms. Simran Bhardwaj, ASP of Dhoraji, Rajkot;
- Mr. Ayush Jain, ASP of Dehegam, Gandhinagar;
- Mr. Jaydeep Gadhvi, ASP of Dhari, Amreli;
- Ms. Pratibha, ASP of Lalpur, Jamnagar;
- Mr. Rohit Kumar, ASP of Visavadar, Junagadh;
- Mr. Ajay Kumar Meena, ASP of Zaghadiya, Bharuch.
After completing their training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, the eight officers—four of whom are women—have now been deployed to their respective assignments.
