The government of Karnataka has recently mandated a reshuffle of seven IPS officers and has assigned them fresh roles.
The IPS Transferees are:
- Mr. Shantanu Sinha (2009 batch) has been appointed as the DIGP of the Criminal Investigation Department and Ms. G. Sangeetha (2014 batch) was asked to take charge as SP of the same department.
- Mr. Laxman Nimbargi (2014 batch) has been posted as the SP for Vijaypura;
- Mr. Chennabasavanna Langoti (2013 batch) has been appointed as the Director of the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru;
- Mr. Abdul Ahad (2012 batch) has been made the head of Security and Vigilance at the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation;
- Mr. Pruthvik Shankar (2017 batch) has been assigned as SP of Yadgiri;
- Mr. Shivanshu Rajput (2019 batch) has been transferred to the position of SP at the State Crime Record Bureau in Bengaluru.
