1993 batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre, Mr. Arpit Shukla, has been promoted to the rank of Director
General of Police (DGP) by the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government.
He was serving as Special DGP, Law and Order.
Mr. Shukla will be promoted in the rank 16 of pay matrix with immediate effect.
While seven of Mr. Shukla’s batchmates were promoted to the rank of DGP on January 23, his promotion was temporarily delayed due to legal complications.
