1994 batch IPS officer and Telangana’s first intelligence chief, Mr. B Shivadhar Reddy, has been reappointed to the post after the change in government in the state following assembly election 2023.
He was serving as the commissioner of police (CP) in Visakhapatnam and held the position of the director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in united Andhra Pradesh.
Following the formation of the new state of Telangana, Shivadhar Reddy, known for his strong support for Telangana’s formation and regarded as an upright officer, was appointed the intelligence chief by KCR in his first tenure.
But, his tenure of almost two years and two months ended, when Mr. Reddy was transferred to a reportedly insignificant role as the inspector general of police in charge of personnel.
But now, new CM Revanth Reddy has reinstated him.
