The central deputation tenure of Ms. K.B. Vandana, a 2004-batch IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, currently serving as Inspector General in the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has been extended by one year beyond April 13, 2025.
In another key development, Mr. Ashok Kumar, a 2006-batch IPS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF) on deputation basis. His deputation will be valid until November 26, 2026, marking a total tenure of seven years in central deputation.
Both appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership in key national security and investigative agencies.
