Mr. Shashvat Kumar, a 2016-batch IPS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been appointed as Commandant (SP level) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on June 25, 2025, the competent authority has approved his appointment to the post on a deputation basis.
