Sanap Bajirao Ramnath (IP&TAFS: 2011), who is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, has been officially re-designated as Director. This change comes as part of an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The competent authority approved the proposal to elevate Ramnath’s position to the Director level, effective January 1, 2025, or upon assuming charge of the re-designated post. The new designation will be held for a tenure of up to five years, lasting until September 22, 2026, under the central staffing scheme.
Ramnath, who began his central deputation tenure on September 23, 2021, has gained significant experience and expertise in his role, contributing to the Ministry of Defence’s operations during his service. This re-designation reflects his continued progression within the Indian Administrative Services.
The move is seen as a recognition of Ramnath’s capabilities and dedication to his responsibilities within the government.
