IREDA Announces 4 Key Senior Management Appointments – Know More About Them

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has announced a series of senior management appointments, aimed at strengthening its leadership team across critical verticals.

Sushant Kumar Dey appointed as Executive Director (Projects)

    Sushant Kumar Dey, who was previously serving as General Manager (Projects) at IREDA, has been promoted to the position of Executive Director (Projects). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Awadhesh Pratap Singh Vishwavidyalaya, an MTech from Barkatullah University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance Management from IGNOU. With a strong academic background and domain expertise, he brings valuable leadership to the project development arm of IREDA.

    Surendra Kumar Sharma appointed as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)

      Surendra Kumar Sharma has been elevated to Executive Director (Finance & Accounts). He is a Commerce graduate and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). In addition to his core qualifications, he has completed certified courses in Indirect Taxation and Forex & Treasury Management from ICAI. With 29 years of experience in finance and accounting, Sharma has been instrumental in steering IREDA’s financial operations as General Manager (Finance & Accounts).

      Dhiraj Mehta appointed as Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)

        Also appointed to the post of Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) is Dhiraj Mehta, a seasoned Chartered Accountant. Mehta previously served as Additional Director General at BHEL from 2009 to 2023, and most recently held the position of General Manager (Finance) at IREDA. His vast experience in public sector finance is expected to further enhance IREDA’s fiscal strategy and governance.

        Ms. Durre Shahwar appointed as General Manager (Human Resources)

          Ms. Durre Shahwar has been promoted to General Manager (Human Resources). Prior to this, she was serving as Additional General Manager (HR) at IREDA. She has played a key role in human capital development, employee engagement, and HR policy implementation.

          IREDA, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), is the country’s leading institution dedicated to financing and promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. These strategic appointments are expected to bolster the organisation’s mission to support India’s transition towards a clean energy future.
