New Delhi: The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) today conducted a special cleanliness and awareness drive titled ‘Ek Taarikh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ at its Registered Office in Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi, and surrounding areas. The initiative was carried out under the national Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, aligning with the Government of India’s vision of a clean and sustainable nation.
IREDA Employees Lead by Example
The drive witnessed active participation from IREDA employees, who took part in cleaning activities and spread awareness on sanitation and environmental responsibility. The programme also included a felicitation ceremony for Safai Mitras, who were honoured with sanitary kits as a token of appreciation for their essential services in maintaining hygiene and public health.

CMD Highlights Link Between Cleanliness and Clean Energy
In a statement issued during the event, Mr. Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, emphasized the synergy between sanitation and sustainability.
“Swachhata and clean energy are closely linked — both ensure a healthier and more sustainable future. The enthusiastic participation of IREDANs in Swachhotsav reflects our commitment not only to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a Clean India but also to our mission of financing green energy for a cleaner environment,” said Mr. Das.
Part of a 15-Day ‘Swachhotsav’ Sustainability Campaign
The event is part of IREDA’s ongoing 15-day ‘Swachhotsav’, which includes:
- Green energy education and renewable energy awareness programs in schools across the Delhi-NCR region
- Preventive health check-ups for Safai Mitras
- Competitions and sustainability activities for employees to promote environmental stewardship
Through these initiatives, IREDA aims to foster a culture of cleanliness, health, and sustainability within the organization and the broader community.
