New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved key administrative changes in central government postings, including the redesignation of Nikhil Dhongri’s post in the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the additional charge for Deen Bandhu Singh in the Noida Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Nikhil Dhongri’s ABDM Post Redesignated to Director
The post of Deputy Secretary held by Nikhil Dhongri (IRPS (Indian Railway Personnel Service): 2012) in the National Health Authority under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has been upgraded to the Director level.
An official order from the DoPT dated 8 January 2026 states that the redesignation is effective from the date Dhongri assumes charge of the new post. The tenure will be co-terminus with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and is extendable up to the period allowed under the Central Staffing Scheme, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Dhongri’s central deputation began on 11 December 2025, marking a significant step in his career progression within the mission, which aims to digitally integrate health records and services across India.
Deen Bandhu Singh Given Additional Charge of Noida SEZ
In a related development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved an additional charge for Deen Bandhu Singh (CSS), currently serving as Development Commissioner, FALTA SEZ, as Development Commissioner, Noida SEZ.
The additional charge will last six months, effective from 9 November 2025 to 8 May 2026, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, whichever is earlier. The decision follows a proposal by the Department of Commerce and was formalized by an order issued by the DoPT on 8 January 2026.
This temporary arrangement ensures continuity in administrative oversight for the Noida SEZ, a critical hub for industrial and export-oriented growth.
