Tirumala: In an inspiring act of devotion and philanthropy, Y.V.S.S. Bhaskar Rao, a retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from Hyderabad, has posthumously donated a ₹3 crore residential property and ₹66 lakh in cash to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
‘Ananda Nilayam’ Gifted for Religious Use
The donated property, a 3,500 sq ft residence named ‘Ananda Nilayam’ located in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, has been explicitly designated in Bhaskar Rao’s will for spiritual and religious purposes. The TTD will manage the property as part of its temple-linked operations and religious outreach.
₹66 Lakh for Six TTD Trusts
In addition to the real estate, Bhaskar Rao bequeathed ₹66 lakh from his personal bank accounts, allocating it to six different TTD-managed trusts. These trusts are involved in a variety of charitable and religious functions, including Annadanam (free meals), education, healthcare, and preservation of Hindu dharma.

Donation Handed Over at Tirumala Temple
Bhaskar Rao’s final wishes were fulfilled by trustees M. Devaraj Reddy, V. Satyanarayana, and B. Lokanath, who officially handed over the property documents and cheques to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam within the Tirumala temple premises on Thursday morning.
Mr. Chowdary commended the late officer’s unwavering devotion and spiritual generosity, honoring the trustees for executing the donor’s will with sincerity.
Corporate Donation of ₹2 Crore to Annaprasadam Trust
In a separate act of corporate philanthropy, Hyderabad-based Trinity Combine Private Limited donated ₹2 crore to the TTD’s Annaprasadam Trust, which provides free meals to thousands of pilgrims daily.
Company representatives handed over multiple cheques to Mr. Chowdary, reaffirming their support for TTD’s welfare initiatives.
