Jammu & Kashmir: Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. SP) Sheikh Aadil has been officially reinstated into service following the closure of departmental proceedings against him, as ordered by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, informed sources said on Tuesday.
Investigation Finds No Substance in Corruption Allegations
The decision to reinstate Dy. SP Sheikh Aadil came after a thorough investigation by the relevant agency found “no substance” in the corruption charges leveled against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The investigative report concluded that the case was “not proved,” effectively clearing him of any wrongdoing.
Court Dismisses Charges on Allied Offences
Adding to the clean chit, the Hon’ble Court dismissed the charge sheet pertaining to allied offences under the Indian Penal Code. The dismissal followed careful consideration of all evidence, further strengthening the position of Sheikh Aadil’s innocence.
Inquiry Commission Conducts Detailed and Impartial Examination
The Inquiry Commission assigned to the case conducted a detailed and impartial examination of all aspects related to the allegations. Their findings fully exonerated Deputy SP Sheikh Aadil, affirming that the charges against him were baseless.
Intelligence Wing Issues Clean Chit
Simultaneously, the Intelligence Wing carried out an independent assessment of the case and issued a clean chit, corroborating the findings of the Inquiry Commission and the investigative agency.
Government Orders Closure of Proceedings and Immediate Reinstatement
In light of the comprehensive findings, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has formally closed the departmental proceedings against Sheikh Aadil as “not proved.” The government has also ordered his immediate reinstatement to his position in the police service.
