Jaipur: In a rare and memorable send-off, IPS officer Rashi Dogra Doodi was given a grand farewell by her staff at the DCP (North) office on Wednesday. In a surprising twist, Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Kartik Aaryan, who are currently in Jaipur for a film shoot, attended the event, adding star power to the occasion.
The farewell was nothing short of regal – Rashi Dogra Dudi, an IPS officer of 2012 batch, was seen departing the office seated in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, as officers and staff bid her an emotional goodbye.
IPS Transfers Reshape Jaipur’s Police Leadership
The farewell comes in the wake of a major reshuffle of IPS officers across Rajasthan. Rashi Dogra Doodi, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Jaipur North, has now taken over as Superintendent of Police (SP), Jaipur Rural.
Replacing her is IPS officer Karan Sharma, who assumed charge as Jaipur (North) DCP on the same day. After taking charge, Sharma immediately convened a meeting with senior officers and station heads to outline his vision, with a focus on crime control, proactive policing, and maintaining law and order.

Bollywood Surprise Delights Police Staff
The presence of Jackie Shroff and Kartik Aaryan took everyone by surprise. Both actors, dressed casually, interacted warmly with police personnel, posed for photographs, and extended their good wishes to outgoing DCP Rashi Dogra Doodi.
According to sources, the actors are currently in Jaipur for a film shoot and decided to pay a courtesy visit to the DCP office while in the vicinity.
Leadership Changes Across Jaipur Police
The Jaipur Police department saw multiple key changes-
Hanuman Prasad Meena took charge as DCP, Jaipur West, replacing Amit Kumar, who has been transferred to Jhalawar. Meena previously served as SP of Didwana-Kuchaman.
Rajarshi Raj Verma, former DCP of Jodhpur, has now taken over as DCP, Jaipur South. His predecessor, Digant Anand, was posted as SP, Bharatpur.
Each of the new DCPs held internal meetings soon after assuming office, underlining their commitment to improving policing efficiency and public safety in their respective zones.
A Day of Transition, Farewells, and Film Glamour
The eventful day in Jaipur marked not only administrative transitions within the police department but also a cultural intersection between public service and popular cinema. The farewell of Rashi Dogra Doodi – complete with carriage, cheers, and celebrities – was symbolic of the esteem in which she was held by her team.
