Amidst a recent development, Mr. Asaf Mehmood Sagar (1992-batch AGMUT cadre IFS officer) has been appointed as a member of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) after his technical resignation from the IFS was accepted.
A notification from the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change read, “Upon his appointment to JKPSC, the President of India has accepted the Technical Resignation tendered by Asaf Mehmood Sagar from Indian Forest Service (IFS), from the date of assumption to the office in the Commission.”
