J&K: 24 JKAS Officers Expected to Get Promoted As IAS

Indian Masterminds Stories

24 officers from Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service are going to be promoted as IAS. Their induction has been cleared by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) and Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on the recommendation by the Jammu and Kashmir administration. This happened just after induction of 27 JKPS officers into IPS last week.

According to an official, the exercise for induction of 24 JKAS officers into IAS is being given final touch by the General Administration Department (GAD). Various meetings have taken place to finalise the names.

Let it be noted that last year on August 4, 2022, 16 JKAS officers were inducted into IAS. A total of 28 JKAS officers were cleared for induction but 11 of them were later dropped as eight had retired from the services. All the officers belonged to the 1999 batch.
